Dr Sarah McMath

Sarah has vast experience of the water industry, having worked in a variety of roles across a number of technical, asset management and operational teams over the past 28 years and most recently as Chief Executive of MOSL, the market operator for the non-household water market in England.

Sarah joined MOSL as Chief Executive in June 2019. Sarah was previously Managing Director of Water at Thames Water, before becoming Managing Director of Strategic Planning and Investment in April 2018. She was appointed Chair of the UK Water Efficiency Strategy Group in September 2022 and also as a director of the Women’s Utilities Network. Sarah served as President of the Institute of Water’s South East Area Committee until March 2025, before becoming the President of IWater in September 2025.

Sarah is a member of the Digital and Data Committee and Nomination Committee and attends the Remuneration Committee and Audit and Risk Committee.
