Wholesaler MPS Charges
Summary of this change
CPM062 & CPW160 (formerly PIP236) seeks the discontinuation of wholesaler MPS incentives not being taken forward by the new market performance framework from 1 April 2025 - see Market Performance Framework reform (CPM058 & CPW149).
The Market Operator initially assessed that this change overlapped with its work to reform the Market Performance Framework. It therefore failed the Intial Acceptance Criteria and should be rejected. Subsequently, the Market Operator re-assessed that it may pass the Initial Acceptance Criteria and should be presented to the Code Change Committtee to consider whether to accept it into the change process. On 11 March 2025 the committee did not agree it met the Acceptance and Prioritisation Criteria and therefore it has been recommended to Ofwat for early rejection.
