RWG Settlement Sub-group

Purpose

To agree a standard process for payments that fall outside of the usual settlement process, to enable customers (and retailers) to receive credits in a timely manner. This includes Deadzone and Post-RF refunds. This will result in payments being made in all cases where a refund is due, within a reasonable timeframe (from wholesalers to retailers and to customers).

Objectives/Outputs

• Code change requiring refunds to be paid in Deadzone (considered by Code Change Committee early 2025)

• Code change requiring refunds to be received for Post-RF periods, and in a timely manner (recommended by the Code Change Committee June 2025)

• Good Practice Guide to be developed (following conclusion of Code Change process anticipated Q4 2025-26)
