Customer meter reads by postal sector
The interactive map below presents a view of NHH customer meter reads by total valid NHH meter reads water for each of the 9,000+ postal sectors in England and Wales and also displays wholesaler water supply area boundaries. Postal sectors are categorised and visualised by customer meter read rate, with darker shading denoting a higher proportion of customer reads. Users can search and zoom around the map and also click on specific postal sectors to find further information on postal sector, total number of meter reads and wholesaler region. The proportion of customers actively reading their meters is one metric that could be used to infer ease of locating, accessing and reading a meter and customer engagement with water consumption. Meter read rates are based on best average view from the NHH central market operating systems (CMOS) over the previous 12 months. Customer reads are defined as those read and submitted to the retailer by the end customer. This map is updated quarterly. Last update 11/11/2024 15:10
