RWG Drought Sub-group virtual workshop invitation - NAVs

The Retailer Wholesaler Group (RWG) Drought Sub-group would like to invite you to a virtual workshop to seek input on drought communications.

The sub-group is establishing a Drought Communications Good Practice Guide, which will seek to drive greater consistency on how trading parties communicate in the lead up and during drought restrictions. 

The guide will draw out the lessons learnt from drought restrictions in 2022 and seek to complement the 2025/26 Drought Planning process overseen by the Environment Agency (EA), in which wholesalers will all be updating their existing Drought Plans. Out of scope for the guide will be consistency of drought restrictions themselves, which is covered in the UKWIR’s Update to the Drought Code of Practice, as well as water efficiency, which is covered by the RWG Water Efficiency Sub-group. 

Input will also be gathered from other interested stakeholders such as water retailers, the Environment Agency (EA), MOSL, CCW, Waterwise, UK Water Retail Council (UKWRC), and Independent Networks Association (INA).
