Following the inaugural meeting of the new Strategic Panel, we are inviting trading parties to nominate suitable candidates for a new Code Change Committee.

This forms part of the implementation of code change CPM039/CPW124: ‘Revisions to Panel Composition’, where there is a requirement to transition the responsibilities of the current Panel to a Strategic Panel and a Code Change Committee.

The Code Change Committee’s two retailer and two wholesaler members will be responsible for reviewing the contents of the market codes and making recommendations on code changes to Ofwat. The Trading Party Code Change Committee member role description is available on the Code Change Committee web page.

The Code Change Committee will not be responsible for the technical development of market changes but rather be responsible for ensuring that changes are appropriately prioritised and considered through the development and delivery of an efficient code change mechanism that promotes active engagement and participation of market stakeholders.

Trading parties wishing to make a nomination should submit the nominee's CV, along with a completed form, which is available on the nominations page of the MOSL website. The deadline for submissions is 6pm on 17 December 2021.

The Strategic Panel have formed a Nominations Committee to review nominations and shortlist candidates to progress through the selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by members of the Nomination Committee following which appointments to the Code Change Committee are expected to be made at the end of January/early February 2022.
