Footprints in the sand walking away from the horizon

Today, MOSL has published its 2023/24 Carbon Statement, which sets out our carbon consumption in comparison to last year’s.

In the report, we calculate MOSL’s carbon footprint for 2023/24 to be 90.15 tonnes of CO2 emissions, a 28% decrease from our 2022/23 Carbon Statement.

A large proportion of this decrease to more accurate data, including colleagues’ commuting and office heating. Although we are working hard to understand and reduce our carbon footprint, we are treating the new CO2 figure as our new baseline.

Katie Franklin, MOSL’s Carbon Lead for the Green Team, said:

“I feel proud to work for a company that understands not only the importance of sustainability, but also being open and transparent about our sustainability journey. This Carbon Statement has already come a long way from our previous one and we can already see areas to build on and improve our reporting for the next Carbon Statement.”

MOSL will continue to publish a Carbon Statement every two years. This ongoing biennial reporting will be a useful benchmarking tool for tracking the progress of our 2024/25 Sustainability Plan. This year’s Statement allows MOSL to see areas where we could reduce consumption, which will influence our commitments in our Sustainability Plan for 2025/26.
