The Call for Inputs (CFI) sets out the initial market request for feedback on the review and reform of the Market Performance Framework (MPF) for the non-household (NHH) water market in England and Wales.

The MPF was designed prior to the market opening in April 2017, the measures that are its focus provide a view of process steps, rather than overall outputs/outcomes. After four years of operation, there is evidence that the current MPF does not drive improved outcomes for customers or the market.

The need for change has been driven by Ofwat, the Market Performance Committee (MPC) and MOSL.

This is an opportunity for the NHH market to collectively assess what the current MPF achieves against current expectations and what the future expectations of the next MPF are. A recurring theme in this CFI is the need to identify and drive positive customer outcomes.

The CFI is addressed to trading party Contract Managers and other interested parties. To ensure feedback from trading parties can be easily collated we ask that Contract Managers circulate the document within their organisation and provide one response on behalf of their organisation through the online survey.

The extended deadline for responses is 6pm on Monday 20 December.
