We have published our response to the emerging regional water resource plans. We have also published our separate response to Ofwat's consultation on proposed changes to eligibility guidance.
We set out our overarching thoughts on the five emerging regional water resource plans that cover the whole of England. As non-household customers consume around 30 per cent of water in England, they have a key role to support the demand reductions that are required to secure future water supplies.
As the market operator for the non-household water market, we have a unique and central perspective on non-household consumption across water resource zones and nationally. MOSL’s insight into customer and consumption data can help water resource groups and water companies understand the potential for water efficiency in the non-household market. It can also help customers gain a better understanding of their water usage and opportunities to use water more efficiently.
MOSL is keen to work with Water Resource Management Groups as regional plans are iterated to ensure the potential for water efficiency savings in the non-household market is fully considered. Our response is available here.
Our response to Ofwat's consultation on proposed changes to eligibility guidance can be found here. In our response we highlighted our concerns around the current approach(es) to Temporary Building Supplies (TBS).
