In total, we received 45 proxy votes out of a total of 59 members eligible to vote, which is more than the two-thirds required in order for the meeting to be quorate.

The first resolution was to approve our 2023-24 annual budget of expenditure (£12,150k). 44 members (97.8 per cent) voted in favour of the resolution, with one member voting against.

The second resolution was to approve the Market Operator (MO) Charges (£550k), levied on wholesalers, to deliver the initial Central Data Cleanse Service activities, as specified in change proposal CPM050. These charges do not form part of MOSL’s core MO charges for 2023-24. 42 members (95.5 per cent) voted in favour of this resolution, with two members voting against and one member abstaining.

A further breakdown of the voting results, along with a recording of the General Meeting, can be found on the General Meeting page of our website.

We would like to thank our members for voting to approve our 2023-26 Business Plan and the associated Data Cleanse Service, which is one of the key improvement programmes outlined in our plan.

Throughout this year’s business planning process, we have engaged extensively with our members and wider stakeholders to ensure our plan drives the necessary improvements for the non-household market whilst balancing the need to be cost-conscious and ensure our plan is phased appropriately.

We recognise the challenge we received during our engagement on the Central Data Cleanse Service and will continue to work with members who have ongoing concerns, but we believe that the need and timing of this service is critical for the market and is integral to the work on the reform of the Market Performance Framework.
