MOSL is pleased to announce it has appointed Simon Powell as its new CIO.
Simon has over 25 years of IT experience covering diverse technology disciplines including infrastructure, ERP, data security, AI & analytics, IT risk management and applications.
Most recently Simon was the Head of IT Infrastructure for 3M in EMEA and Latin America that included managing the company’s technology response to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
While at 3M, Simon led the European data insights team, helping to deploy SAP ERP & lived in the UAE managing the Middle East & Africa IT organisation.
In addition to leading IT organisations, Simon is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, leading programmes to drive supply chain, back-office, and customer process efficiencies.

On making the appointment CEO, Sarah McMath, said, “I am delighted that Simon is joining us at this exciting time in MOSL’s journey. As we look to complete the rehost of CMOS and implement future phases of our technology roadmap, Simon’s extensive experience that spans cyber security, AI, and risk management will put us in a confident position as we set out our strategy for 2024-27.”
Simon will officially join MOSL on 1 December.
