MOSL appoints new Wholesaler Director
The Board of Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Maher as its new Non-Executive Director elected by wholesalers.
Don has vast experience of the non-household water market, having contributed to the Open Water Programme prior to market opening and headed up Anglian Water’s approach to the Inset/NAV market, overseeing its equivalences policies.
Don has also been involved in a number of Anglian Water’s senior level boards including the Market Reform Governance Board and the Wholesale Board, of which he has been a member since 2011.
Since market opening, he has been an active member of the Market Performance Committee, where he has supported the development of the Market Performance Framework (MPF) and is currently a nominated alternate to the MAC Panel.
In his current role as Head of Wholesale Market Services for Anglian Water, he is responsible for day-to-day market activities including settlement and market and retail engagement for the non-household water market.
MOSL’s Chair, Jim Keohane, said: “Don brings with him a wealth of experience, and for many years has been a highly engaged member of the Panel Committees and other industry groups. I am delighted that Don will be joining MOSL’s Board as a representative for our wholesaler members. He is well placed to understand the challenges present in the NHH market and I am confident that his passion for delivering tangible improvements will be a welcome addition to the Board - and to MOSL - as we look towards our planning for 2020/21 and beyond.
“In welcoming Don, myself and the Board would also like to thank Mel Karam for his dedicated service over the past two years. Mel is a passionate Chief Executive, who cares deeply about the water industry and its customers. His contribution to MOSL’s Board has been greatly appreciated.”
Don will assume his responsibilities as Non-Executive Director from close of today’s Board meeting.
