MOSL has today published its key policy asks of the new Government. We will be sharing these as part of our planned approach to political engagement. We look forward to working with government and other key stakeholders to drive these improvements to the business water market, business customers, the environment and the wider sector.
The key asks are as follows:
- Enable smart water meter rollouts to businesses
- Join up thinking across departments to meet growth, net zero and water security ambitions
- Fully incorporate business demand in national water resources planning
- Provide clarity around the target of reducing business water use by 9% by 2038
- Reform tariffs as part of wider changes to the price review process
- Increase business preparedness for water supply risks
- Ensure the business water market offers value, choice and protection to customers.
