MOSL has published the responses to the second consultation on the Market Performance Framework (MPF) Reform programme which ran from 28 February until 21 April 2023.
We would like to thank stakeholders who engaged with us through the consultation and the webinar we ran on 13 March. 23 organisations submitted a written response and 26 organisations took part in the webinar.
Most respondents believed there were no intervention tools or metrics that MOSL had not considered. MOSL also heard the final proposed MPF should be simple and should not incorporate all the components put forward in the consultation. Most respondents expressed a preference for a simplified governance structure to minimise costs.
MOSL agrees with these views and will continue with its plan to streamline the components into a proposed MPF model which it expects to consult on this summer. This will look to satisfy the key principles which were developed with the industry, which include proportionality, simplicity and a focus on customer outcomes.
MOSL will also produce a ‘MOSL talks’ interview featuring Adam Richardson, our Market Development Director, to respond to the consultation feedback and provide a clear view of the direction of travel for the programme. We are looking to publish this in June.
Our consultation response document outlines a summary of responses we received. We have also published the full responses which are available here.
