MOSL has published the responses to the consultation on the Market Performance Framework (MPF) Reform programme which ran from 10 October until 11 November 2022.
This was an opportunity for the market and its stakeholders to collectively assess the work undertaken by the programme team and the Performance Advisory Group (PAG) on the components in scope for a future MPF.
We were pleased to have 31 organisations engage with us through the consultation and the four webinars we ran. The verbal feeddback given during webinars is being considered equally with written feedback.
There was clear support for the list of activities that support market outcomes proposed in the consultation. There was also agreement the list of market risks and issues identified was complete and clearly formulated.
Most respondents felt that activities had been mapped correctly to the risks and issues they help mitigate and that the list of intervention types was complete. While we received overall support around the prioritisation of activities, we also received a number of suggestions around how some of them could be reprioritised.
Our consultation response document outlines a summary of responses we received. We have also published the full responses which are available here.
The detail within the responses continues to be extracted and analysed and we will publish details of how we have responded to the feedback in the new year.
Programme Director John Gilbert said: “The feedback highlights we are on the right track and can move on to deciding which components may be applied and when. This will form part of a further consultation in March 2023. I would like to thank the PAG and everyone who has engaged with us through this process as the feedback will help us to provide a better end product.”
