Today MOSL has published its Quarterly Reports for performance against its key performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement programmes for Quarter 3 2022/23.

The reports show good performance across our four core services and notable deliverables in the third quarter for our improvement programmes against our 2022-25 Business Plan commitments.

Most notably, the final phase (Phase 6) of the Bilateral Transactions Programme was delivered this quarter, marking the completion of the Ofwat-mandated programme. Phase 6 saw another nine processes successfully added to the central hub representing 89 per cent of processes with operational performance standards (OPS) by volume and a further 15 per cent of non-OPS processes.

Sixteen of the market’s highest-volume bilateral processes – from meter replacements to the handling of customer enquiries – are now simpler, faster and more reliable.

The benefits of the hub continue to track above the business case’s expectations, with the scope of further work included in MOSL’s 2023-26 Business Plan. Further information can be found on the Bilateral Transactions Programme page of MOSL’s website.

Each quarter we feature an image that reflects a sector of the water industry. This quarter’s theme is ‘big industry’. As shown in our Settlement-based Consumption Dashboard, over 57 per cent of potable water in the non-household (NHH) market is used by just one per cent of NHH customers (or 1.97 per cent of supply points). These industries, for example, power stations and breweries, use over 13,700 litres per day.
