Retailer Measure of Experience (R-MeX)
The Retailer Measure of Experience (R-MeX) is a survey that provides both a quantitative, as well as qualitative, measurement of the service wholesalers are providing to the retailer(s) with whom they work.
R-MeX surveys, which are run twice a year, consist of eight questions covering topics such as engagement, communication and data quality. Retailers are invited to score wholesalers' performance on a scale of 0-10, with the option to provide additional feedback via an open text field.
As of 1 April 2025, the R-MeX survey makes up 25% of the Business Customer and Retailer Measure of Experience Survey (BR-MeX).

Latest results
The first 'league table' below is based on the results of the survey carried out in August 2025. It outlines the average score received by each wholesaler reviewed across seven areas. These areas correspond to the six areas with a rating score. The table is ranked by ‘Overall Service’.
The second table shows the movement of the average scores between the February 2025 and August 2025 surveys. An average of the last two surveys is shared with Ofwat for its BR-MeX calculations.
Please note that any wholesaler that has fewer than three responses is omitted from the league table. The total values at the bottom of the table may therefore differ slightly from the whole market equivalent.
